Cardinal Financial Brand Refresh
THE CHALLENGE: Scaling the Standard
As Cardinal Financial expanded nationally, the brand needed a system that could scale across digital, marketing, and internal touchpoints, one that felt approachable, confident, and uniquely recognizable in the mortgage industry.
This refresh not only clarified the brand’s visual identity but also demonstrated my ability to step into leadership, guiding creative direction and bridging strategy, design, and execution across multiple teams. The system created was adaptable, enduring, and positioned the brand for continued expansion and clear recognition in the industry.
MY ROLE
During this time, I contributed as a Senior Designer and stepped into an Art Director capacity, helping shape creative direction across video, digital, and brand strategy, and ensuring the new visual system delivered both clarity and impact. My contributions included:
Designed and evolved core components of the brand’s visual identity, ensuring clarity, flexibility, and market distinction
Developed and helped shape scalable layouts, templates, and visual assets for campaigns, digital applications, and internal communications
Collaborated with cross-functional teams, translating strategy into cohesive experiences across marketing, product, and internal initiatives
Led art direction for video, UI/UX, and brand strategy to ensure consistency and approachability
