YMCA of San Francisco Brand Design & Management
YMCA OF SAN FRANCISCO:
Shaping a meaningful identity.
Over nine years of service, I advanced from Marketing Assistant to Graphic Specialist, providing design support for 14 branches and 120+ program sites across the YMCA of San Francisco (YSF), working cross-functionally with executive leadership and political stakeholders to produce impactful marketing material and creative concepts showcased at exclusive fundraising events.
This role provided countless avenues to explore personal and professional development through learning, coaching & leading.
MASTERING THE BRAND & DESIGN LEADERSHIP.
I served as a Brand Ambassador during the organization’s rebrand led by Siegel + Gale (2011), introducing the new brand voice to internal teams, ensuring standards were upheld across design efforts, and advising staff on best practices for implementation. I ran point on partnerships with branch executives and contractors on facility renovations to meet brand audit requirements, gaining leadership experience that strengthened my vendor management skills and ability to drive high-impact initiatives from concept through completion.
As a Brand leader, I quickly identified critical gaps in our processes and in-house expertise, then proactively sourced the right design tools and strategic guidance to close them. I partnered with IT to secure enterprise-wide Adobe Creative Cloud access and led hands-on training sessions that empowered staff to confidently produce high-quality branded assets, while intentionally building a peer-driven design network to sustain and scale support across teams.
